This product contains certain shades that are formulated with pressed pigments. These differ from a typical eyeshadow formula in that they do not contain filler ingredients and are used to achieve more vibrant shades. Because of this, pressed pigments have colorants that tend to cause staining on the skin and are recommended to not be used in the immediate eye area according to the US FDA. These regulations currently only apply to the US and are considered safe in other countries such as Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Canada. In cosmetics, carmine, an ingredient made of crushed beetles, is used to achieve shades of red, pink, and purple. Certain colorants are often substituted in place of carmine to create the same shades while also ensuring the formula is vegan.
These colorants include Red 6, Red 6 Lake, Red 7, Red 7 Lake, Red 21 Lake, Red 22 Lake, Red 27, Red 27 Lake, Red 28, Red 28 Lake, Yellow 6 Lake, Yellow 10 Lake and/or Silver.

This was the first eyeshadow palette I have ever bought and I have been enjoying the colors. All of them apply so well with such pigmentation and have been easy to use. I got this one while it was on sale because I was not sure how I would feel about the eyeshadows but it was definitely worth it, and with my next paycheck I plan to buy other palettes!
One year later still amazing
I was a bit nervous to try out a new eyeshadow pallet with reds and blues, but I feel with practice, I’ll achieve some creative looks that’ll look AMAZING.
The packaging made me squeal in excitement because of how CUTE it is. It’s like those heart-shaped chocolates you get for a loved one, except this time it’s for a break-up. The colors are absolutely smooth, pigmented and lovely. They’re completely buildable, so I can go for subtle or bold looks.
The best part about this though, which was a concern for me, was how easily I could clean it up without it staining the skin. The eyeshadows came off cleanly with my makeup remover towel with just a bit of glitter left behind. Yet, no stains!
The only reason I gave four-stars was because the blue looked like it got a bit beat up on the ride here, kind of spreading onto the palette. It’s very subtle, but nothing crazy bad. We all feel a little beat up after a breakup anyways lmao
All very pigmented and unique shades. The black is to die for in particular though, it’s the best black formula I’ve tried. It applies opaque wherever I place it without patchiness, it’s the best. And the glitter is gorg.
I got a bonus at work and wanted a red shadow. I saw that this palette had some nice reds. The free June Bug lipstick also helped convince me to purchase it, rather than a single pan of red eyeshadow from Amazon. I wore the shade to my tattoo appointment a couple weeks ago and while the pic doesn't really do justice to how bonita I felt, it is the only one I got that day.
